Local organization to collect unwanted furniture
Do you have a client that’s moving and needs to get rid of some unwanted furniture? Or, maybe you bought some new furniture for your own home and don’t know what to do with your old furniture? Don’t just throw it away; your old furniture can make a big difference to someone looking for a new start.

The Caring Place provides services to victims of domestic violence in Porter County, Stark County, and portions of Lake County.  This fall, The Caring Place will be opening up a furniture store called The Furniture Place.  In addition to providing an additional revenue source for The Caring Place, the store will provide their clients, many who have not worked, with a chance to get actual job experience to assist them in their new lives outside of their violent relationships.

The Furniture Place will pick-up lightly used furniture (they reserve the right to not accept furniture in bad condition) by appointment and free of charge. Or, if you have an entire home to empty, a group will come in for a fee and remove all of the furniture. All donations are tax deductible.

For more information, or to schedule a pick-up, contact Carol or Mary Kay at (219) 464-0840
