GNIAR Education Department
The Greater Northwest Indiana Association of REALTORS® is committed to providing our members quality educational opportunities through classes, seminars and designation training. We encourage you to review the information in this section for educational programs and membership events that will help you advance and succeed as a professional in real estate.
Continuing Education Offerings
The state of Indiana requires that Brokers and Sales Agents complete continuing education during each two year time frame, in order to renew their licenses. Six hours of mandatory continuing education and 10 hours of elective continuing education is required in each two year renewal period. Brokers are required to complete CE and renew their license during odd numbered years. Sales agents are required to complete CE and renew their licenses in even numbered years. Orientation Program
GNIAR offers two Orientation Programs for members. The programs are designed to help you, the GNIAR member succeed in your career, as well as become familiar the REALTOR® organization, its programs, products and services. The programs offered by GNIAR include the New Member Orientation and the Broker Orientation. Both programs are designed specifically for the needs of those attending. REALTOR® Family Designation Programs
The National Association of REALTORS® has nine affiliated Institutes, Societies, and Councils that provide a wide-ranging menu of programs and services that assist members in increasing skills, productivity and knowledge. Designations acknowledging experience and expertise in various real estate sectors are awarded by each Affiliated group upon completion of required courses.
